Here it is! The final cut on the music video, Arpy - You are.
Digi Pack - research
While researching for ideas that will help me on creating a better product, I kept in mind two main ideas. One of the theories Strinati had, the fact that a good package helps in selling a product. My other main idea is that I address to quite a large audience with this product. This commercial genre is massively consumed. I researched packs of the same genre and style belonging to different artist from this niche (pictures posted below).
- CONVENTIONS - The front cover respects the design and theme found in the actual music video. In addition I used a similar font to the one used in the video. The cover is quiet simplistic and so it will be easily consumed by the target audience. |

Rhetorical Devices - Personal Analysis
How will I use figures of speech and rhetorical devices in order to create meaning in my A2 work.
- Metaphors: The idea that the Driver (who is also the singer) is represented as a cupid. I might use metaphors when filming the chat the two lovers have via messages.
- Innuendo: Still on the message chat. He might text her "You are..." part of the lyrics of the song and also a message that could be send in any other context
- Timing: Like I said above, the singer will be represented as a driver in the setting of the car/taxi, but he is not an ordinary driver. At the end of the movie the audience can clearly "see" that he is a "cupid". This can be represented by showing another man stepping into his car, and the story repeating.
- Pathos: By showing what he feels about her. This will be represented by the conversation they have via sms (mainly his messages) also the fact that he will stop the taxi in order to buy flowers. Him looking out the window, being thoughtful.

Characters and props
Gansca Paul Mihai
Age: 18
Description: He is one of my colleagues, passioned about IT and coding but one of his unknown skills is acting. You Are is one of the rare footages showing Paul's skill
In addition, the fact that Paul looks more mature helped me in representing the message of the story

Eliza Maria (a.k.a. Ellie)
Age: 18
Description: Due to her love towards soap operas, Ellie became a really passioned, young, amateur actress. Her contribution to You Are gave the final product the exact image envisioned from the beginning.
Furthermore, the fact that she has a more mature look fitted the stereotype of a relationship in the 20s

Script
In the case you can't access the script, you can download it in PDF format from below ☺️
As inspired from last year, for the script writing part I worked in Celtx. I found it helpful for organizing each scene with the ideas, shots, characters related to it.

Target audience
The process of planning on audience wasn't a hard one taking into consideration that my final product is going to be a commercial one.
So I considered that there is no need for charts and in-depth research. The media product will be addressed to a large audience (basically anyone who would like to watch and listen to it). The commercial type of public is rather young, statistically speaking, starting from an age of 12 up to even 45. (In large terms)
When released, You Are, was one of the most played song in the "balkan" type of media. Romanian radio stations such as Radio Impuls introduced the song in their daily playlist (10 daily plays on average). Further more, the song was present in the international mass-media as well. Greek, Turkish and Bulgarian means of media playing it too.
When analysing the statistics provided by social media where the song was promoted (such as YouTube or Facebook) we notice the similar audience present in other means of media (radio). The current number of views the audio file of You Are has on YouTube is 61.881
With all of these analysed, I had a clear aspect of the people who will "consume" the final type of media.

Moodboard
Following the analysis I had on the previous post of the 9 frames analysis, I created a mood board in order to organise my ideas in a better way. I captured some of the shots I plane to have in my final product. As you can see the shots I've choose mach with the ideas found in the script and recreate the idea of a love story. (even though chromatics are not to be taken into consideration)
"9" frame analysis
For this part, I researched on videos in which I found the same ideas I want to use.
