1st Task - The After Movie
As I am working at Radio Impuls, a national radio station from Cluj-Napoca, Romania I decided to film and edit our 3 days at Colibita. We've broadcasted from there and so we used a simple Go Pro to capture the fun we had there.
Even before starting to film, I knew that I will use Down The Road by C2C for the music. This helped the editing part because the shots were taken in a proper way. I wanted to focus on the techniques of fluid motion, slow motion and used many panning establishing shots. I also played with angles, mixing high with low and in between camera angles. I explained this better with some photos below the video. Also to add that I didn't have a steady-cam so even the shots that wanted to be fluid might have a hand-held look.
For all the editing I used iMovie. It was good for cutting to the beat and using other features such as picture in picture but over all I found my self limited by the options iMovie has to offer. When it came up to coloring I wanted more tools and also when editing the pictures in picture. I also wanted a better slow motion effect but taking into consideration both the hardware and software I was "equipped" with I am pleased.
Furthermore, I learned new short cuts which made it easier to copy a color preset.
Overall, I wanted to show what a great experience we had, in a joyful/dynamic way and I think that I did that :D
Other effects used: Speed adjust, reverse,
